Caroline Horner

Dr Caroline Horner is an executive coach, educator, and organization development consultant with more than 26 years’ international experience. As co-founder and managing director of i-Coach Academy, she has created one of the UK’s most respected coaching programmes and has enabled hundreds of aspiring coaches to develop and achieve recognition and qualifications in coaching. Before establishing i-Coach, Caroline worked in various leadership roles as VP Marketing for NatWest Card Services, as well as in other management roles across the IT, telecommunication and corporate communications sectors in the UK and South Africa.

Today, Caroline works closely with C-Suite executives, leaders, senior teams, and boards, to help them unlock their individual and collective potential across an array of sectors. While her clients include multinationals and government departments – UN, Ministry of Defence, Royal Navy, Home Office, GlaxoSmithKline, Tesco, Deloitte, Wavemaker, and Save the Children – Caroline is equally at home working with individual entrepreneurs and small businesses. Crucially, Caroline combines both proven theories and practical experience, bringing real-life business knowledge, as well as extensive qualifications in leadership and coaching.

Caroline holds a DProf (Doctorate in Professional Studies) in Coaching Psychology from Middlesex University (her doctorate exploring the experience of developing professional coaching practice was the first doctorate to specialize in Coaching); an MBA (Distinction) from Imperial College, London; and an NTL Certificate in Organizational Development. Caroline is also an accredited mentor and holds the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) EIA award at Master Practitioner level, and ICF at PCC. Caroline is trained in numerous psychometric tools, speaks worldwide on coaching, and has contributed to several books and articles.

Coaching is a learning conversation with the client at the centre—enabling learning by identifying new perspectives, unlocking ideas, and building confidence, while unlearning outdated mindsets, behaviours, and strategies so the client can be effective and live a life that feels truly meaningful within an ethical and value-driven framework
