Adrian Brown

Adrian Brown is currently Senior Advisor, Strategy Realisation and Change for World Vision International – a global relief, development, and advocacy organization serving the world’s most-vulnerable children and is currently working on the people and organization side of their Our Promise strategy as part of the global Strategy Realization Office. A resilient and adaptable organizational development leader with extensive consulting and management experience in the public, corporate, and NGO sectors.

Adrian is a member of NTL Institute for Applied Behavioural Science, Organisation Development Network Europe, and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development.

Adrian started his career in generalist HR roles before moving to the policy and planning unit of a UK police force. Studying in the evenings for an MBA at Nottingham Trent University, he led the first five-year strategy process during the day. His introduction to OD came at Boots the Chemist, as an internal OD advisor to large change projects, and he expanded his practice into large group interventions, business process redesign, and culture change. He substantiated his practitioner experience through the NTL OD Certificate Programme.

After forays into operations and business planning in Boots, he took up the role of OD Consultant at Aviva UK, before heading the internal consulting function in HR. His roles as Head of People Capability, and Brand and Engagement, deepened his experience in learning and development, and living out brand values.

The move to World Vision International brought him back into OD and strategy roles in a different sector, with global reach and an imperative to impact the well-being of the world most-vulnerable children.

Change Management

Change management addresses the people-side of change. Three levels can be described: For individuals, it involves supporting each person’s change journey. For organizational initiatives, it’s about equipping people to adopt and use solutions. For enterprise change, it’s about embedding change into the fabric of the organization.
