Martin Horton

As an expert provider of bespoke leadership and organisation development services, my passion rests in helping managers to function more effectively as leaders, both of people and change, and the people they lead to work better together for mutual, team, organisational and even societal benefit.

I find it hugely rewarding helping people to convene the conversations and create the conditions to: free capacity; unlock and release their leadership potential; embrace diversity in all its guises; make a real and measurable difference to the way that they do business; and build a sustainable capability, such they can find the time to lead and are able to take the lead in the delivery of change.

I have been fortunate to work with many inspiring thought-leaders in the field of leadership development and change during both a rewarding 30-year career in the Royal Air Force and more latterly as an independent consultant. I bring to my practice a wide range of transferable skills from my various Service roles in learning and development and engineering.

Possessing a Master of Business Administration (Defence) degree from Cranfield University (thesis on Transformational Leadership), I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and an alumnus of the Windsor Leadership Trust. I hold the NTL Certificate in Organisation Development and am accredited to use Strengthscope and Hogan psychometrics.

I also support the Windsor Leadership charity as a volunteer facilitator on UK-residential and international programme variants for those with the potential to reach senior leadership positions within their field.

Specialities include: the scoping, design and delivery of bespoke leadership development programmes, organisation development consultancy, facilitation, executive and team coaching, group process consultation, mentoring, change leadership, executive education and action learning.
