David Shaked is a positive transformation leader who helps individuals, groups, and organizations to achieve positive change through flexible, creative, and practical use of strength-based approaches to change. He supports his clients in thinking differently, unlocking possibilities, creating inspiring visions for the future, and in finding new ways forward. His approach helps leaders disentangle complex problems and enables accelerated change – no matter how difficult the situation may seem.
David has over 25 years of experience in designing and leading successful organizational and leadership-development processes, as well as culture-change and transformation. Previously he worked as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Master and as a business-improvement leader with Johnson & Johnson, leading quality- and efficiency-improvement projects across the organization. He has worked in most parts of the world. His areas of expertise include: high-engagement strategic planning, efficiency improvement, team development, coaching, leadership development, and whole-system change.
David’s clients and collaborators appreciate his humble yet engaging presence, his ability to listen and empathize, and his curiosity (he is always fascinated by other people, their stories, what makes them who they are, their ‘true colours’, and what their fullest sparkling potential is). David is able to keep calm and is unfazed by complex, chaotic, or stressful situations. His use of stories and metaphors helps evoke change from within. He is creative and inspires creativity in others. Finally, he keeps ‘the big picture’ in sight and is able to see possibilities and strengths – everywhere and in everyone!
David is an experienced practitioner, trainer, author, public speaker, and thought leader of several strength-based and dialogic approaches to change, such as Appreciative Inquiry, Solution Focus Coaching, Positive Deviance, and Positive Psychology. He has had two books published: the first offers a strength-based approach to Lean Six Sigma; and the second offering a deeper, all-encompassing and practical framework for ‘being’ and ‘doing’ AI. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and an MBA (University of Texas at Austin). He is also a graduate of the OD certificate and AI certificate programs of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioural Science.
